Welcome and Hello!

Hi! *ElectrikPinkPirate here, saying hello to you all and welcoming you new members!! I have taken over as Administrator of this club from =charcoal-gray and hope to keep do my best to serve you all!

Till late August I'm running on a 56k modem so if we get swamped with profiles more than i can handle then I will be appointing Helper-Admins for quite-necessary uploading purposes. I am keeping a list of all those who are interested in becoming Admins, so if worst comes to worst, be expecting a great big plea from me for help

Duties will include updating the club journal with new member info as profiles come in (html knowledge a must), adding their profile with all the necessary info to that, and answering any questions/helping others while you are on call

On to Business: If your name is not in bold, we still need a Commissionable Profile ID from you to add to our directory ^___^ If you have already submitted one and it has been added to the directory but your name is still in bold, please let me know! I forget stuff

In the coming days I will be adding journals specifically for our Affiliates and a few other things to make everything neater Bear with me.

Also, being as how Scotland is part of the UK, I have merged the separated sections and now all countries under the UK are in the UK section.

Important, please read: I have noticed some of the club-submitted profiles have been recieving favorites. I know that some of you may not be submitting your profiles to your deviation gallery, but I do know that many of you do and would surely rather have the actual "piece" be faved where the original is rather than here.

If enough deviants want it, I will go and edit your submitted profile to include a 'DO NOT FAV HERE' notice with a link to your submitted original. Please take notice, you need to provide me with the link to your original deviation in some manner or form. I will not hunt down your original piece. A polite way to get those who have faved a piece here to un-fav and re-fav the original would be to send the following note (which was copied from one of our affiliates =sunsets who put it all so eloquently and politely)

Example:
"Hello,
You've added a club's deviation to your favourites/collections!
You are not allowed to add to your favourites or collections here as this is a club and not the original artist's piece, so please remove [link] (--- change to your submission link ---) favourite/collection and re-add it from the original deviation here [link] (--- put the link to your original here ---), or by following the link that is in the "Artist's comment" on the piece you have faved.
Thank you very much
*ElectrikPinkPirate (--- change to your name ---)"

Please try to police your own profiles Currently there are 6 favorites on club-submissions. Just send a note to the deviant who has fav-ed it here asking to re-fav the original (if you're really an edgy-type and want a third party to do it, I will do it for you only if you forward the note you want sent to me, and the deviant it needs to be sent to )

Jobs: I posted a poll recently about whether or not you have seen a change in the volume of commissions you recieve since joining In that line of thought, I would like to direct you all to the Job Services and Job Offers forums here on dA. I have been posting there myself since i happened upon it/started taking commissions (*ElectrikPinkPirate) and I have actually recieved commissions directed from there (see my post if you are curious for ideas). I highly encourage you all to post in Job Services, and to check out Job Offers to see what people are posting that they want/need. Promote yourself shamelessly to get your name out there ^__^ Similarly, I have been promoting the club there and hopefully driving traffic here for everyone's benefit.

In other news, we're also looking for Helpers that members can go to/ask questions if they have any problems. General questions may regard Photoshop and other things. If you're interested in being a Helper, please let me know! Your icon will be added to the club shoutboard under PHOTOSHOP HELPERS (unless you have specific knowledge in something else you'd rather help with, such as CSS or something, then we can create a new section for that as well).
